WHO ARE WE ?

 

 

 

THE SHAPE PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE

 is a part of the SHAPE Morale Welfare Branch and the U.S. Army Garrison Benelux Family Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.

 

Since 1967, we have served military, their families, civilians, and their invited guests in and around the SHAPE area. The SHAPE Players 2017 Season marked our 50th Anniversary of producing musicals and plays for the SHAPE/Chievres Communities!

 

Our mission is to provide our community the opportunity to see and participate in a variety of outstanding theatre productions and events.

 

The Performing Arts Centre offers:

 

•The SHAPE Players present four productions per season.

• Performing Arts School offers three sessions of classes and workshops for all taught by profession teachers annually.

• Performing Arts School presents two additional productions and two recitals annually.

• Responsible for all entertainment at the annual SHAPE Fest!

 

SHAPE Players and the Performing Arts School productions have consistently won awards at regional, national and international competitions and festivals.

 

The SHAPE Performing Arts Centre has received the US Army Irving Berlin Award and several US Army "Best Entertainment Program" , Twink Lynch Award for awards for excellence in community service and exceptional programming

The SHAPE Performing Arts Centre is a volunteer participant-driven program and operated by the participants with the supervision,

 professional guidance and support of the paid staff.
